Call to Debate

I’ve just completed reading a Time® magazine article on illegal immigration. One thing was sorely lacking: a focus on legal immigration. In fact, the omission is not unique to this article or magazine, but to the entire discussion of immigration. How can an entire debate be framed around the negative side to the immigration laws we currently have? Why is no one lauding the achievements, or decrying the overpopulation of the legal immigrants?
To be sure, either take on the legal side of immigration would definitely be represented in the public forum. The problem is NO SIDE of legal immigration is discussed in the current debate. So here’s my call to arms.
